get my septum pierced
8 months after I originally wanted it. 20 months ago

Finally, I got mine pierced on Saturday. It’s been flipped up and I refused to look at it in the shop so I still don’t know whether it truly suits me. The jewelry is a 16g (possibly 18 actually, it seems very slim) black titanium BCR which we bent out of shape to resemble a staple retainer.

Yes, black. When it comes down I will look as though I have a Hitler ‘tash. I think I need to go shopping for some new jewelry …

get a snug piercing
Spontaneous-ish. 22 months ago

I went into my usual tattoo / piercing shop before work this morning to get my first piercing of 2008! I had one of my nipple rings taken out a couple of weeks ago and was planning on getting that redone but it’s too early, so we settled on a snug.

None of my piercings hurt very much. The pain I did feel today was mostly because my almost-healed antitragus got bashed around a bit while the snug was getting pierced, it wasn’t much though. I have yet to see how this settles but hopefully it will heal nicely. :)

If you want this piercing, I say go for it.

pierce my tongue (read all 3 entries…)

I’m not sure about this anymore. Not a centre piercing, anyway, although it would make splitting my tongue (which I plan to do in future years) easier.

In the meantime I believe a lingum piercing might be a little more “me”. It is pretty much just a horizontal tongue surface piercing, underneath. I’ll see what happens. :)
