This is one of my biggest regrets in life. Don’t do it. If you want to be with someone else, break up with the person you’re with first. At least have the decency to do that. I didn’t, and the guilt eats at me everyday.

One day I didn’t feel anything. There was no pain, even when the blood came. I made the nearly fatal mistake of pressing down hard, then dragging the blade through all the layers of my skin.
I should have known it was really bad when I saw the yellow fat tissue sticking out of the gaping slit in my skin.
That mental image alone has been enough to keep me from cutting ever again.
It was so worth it. It’s one of those things that must be experienced- I can’t really explain why I did it or what it felt like to do it.
Oh, and not only was I living in my car, but this was on the streets of Los Angeles, after living the first 18 years of my life in Nashville, TN. Quite the culture shock…
