How I did it: Over the course of several years I started to buy local produce, local meat and dairy, and finally, even local grains. I almost always shop as small locally owned stores.  It took me a long time to do this but it was worth the effort!Things that help:Join a CSACan and Freeze your own produceReduce your meat consumptionPrioritize your expenses. Amazing

I used to live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and in the winter we would go out to watch the lights at least once a week. I never get tired of seeing them.

I’ve also seen them in southern Michigan but it’s pretty rare…of course, it could just be that the city lights block them out.
