How I did it: The few times I drank in the past couple of months, all I could think about (while drinking) was how I would feel in the morning. Or about how sick I could become if I drank too much. My tolerance went down a ton also, so it took even less for me to catch a buzz. Basically, I realized that I didn't need drinking to have fun. In fact, chances are good that it only put a damper on the fun I was already having. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was going to pledge a sorority and needed to raise my GPA before doing so. At first, I was really excited to join. As time grew and the sisters waited for my GPA to rise, I realized that I didn't want to pledge anymore, and I started raising my grades and caring more about classes for myself instead of for someone else. Now, my GPA continues to go up with each quarter, and my college career seems to be more satisfying because of it. How I did it: Randomly.I thought of the idea randomly one night, and it just stuck. It sounds pretty careless, but I acted on impulse, and I couldn't be happier with it. The more I see it on my body, the more I fall in love with it. Read how I did it…

Though I’ve only had my Monroe for a total of four and a half days, I couldn’t imagine being without it.
I had been contemplating getting a Monroe piercing for a while, and I finally decided that after I graduate and have my party, I will get it done. Once that week came I was filled with anticipation, though also rather nervous. This would be my first piercing that would not be in my ears. I had heard many good things about Jim (my piercer), and after researching much about him, I was comfortable he knew what he was doing. I read everything I could find on the piercing, and knew (for the most part) what I was in for.
The day finally came when I would get pierced. The shop was v. clean and Jim was v. professional, though comfortable to be around. After picking out my laberet stud, much cleaning, and finding the right placement, he had me lie down so he could pierce me. The actual needle going through didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I had expected. Jim is a free-hand piercer so no forceps were used. There was no “popping” sound, and the only bit that hurt was when he put the post of the jewelry in. My lip swelled almost immediately, and he reassured me that I was not alone in that. I’ve been treating the Monroe v. nicely the last few days, and so far so good. In another week I get to go back to downsize so the back disk isn’t rubbing against my gums as much.
If you are thinking about getting a Monroe/Madonna I highly suggest it. Just be sure to read up on the piercing/piercer before going ahead with it though. And be ready to sacrifice a few things for the next couple of months for this baby.
