a baby!
their dog, oscar, is pretty sick. i don’t think i’ll push too hard for this one.
i cleaned up my side of the studio, but in the process i splashed a little cleaning water on my studio-mate’s poster! oh no!
i’ve discovered some pine frames that should help with that. i need to learn to make them myself.
much better than the daylong drive from memphis to mobile. . . and the tickets were free!
so far all presents recieved have been reciprocated by little button snowman greeting cards:)
our tree is up and we even put lights on the front stoop! everything looks so warm and welcoming that maybe now i’ll feel like spending some time making this place feel like our home instead of like a rental.
i felt much more vulnerable and much less intelligent when i couldn’t use quotes to discuss my research
so that didn’t work. we got anchorworms with a fish from petco and it killed all six of my goldfish before i got the mail-order worm poison from the internet. the betta are still alive though, so i guess i’m not a total failure.
I stayed up all night giggling afterwards because everyone was so funny about the game. I had two good artists, two computer guys, and a professor playing against me and I was definitely the first to lose, but the professor brought me a squash, so that was pretty awesome.
I can’t tell you how, though I can tell you it doesn’t involve a snooze button.
We went to a pumpkin carving party today that was totally rad. I made a classic sqare-mouthed screaming pumpkin and daniel made one that winks;)
