I’m obviously not wanting to turn into an alcoholic with this goal, but I do like a cocktail if I know I’m just having one drink for the evening. I don’t want to spend a fortune on booze either so I’m trying to concentrate on one key ingredient at a time.
For December:
Apricot Cooler
Apricot Fizz
Apricot Martini
Apricot Rickey
Apricot Sour
Did you catch the theme? :o)
These cocktails are mostly Apricot Brandy with different mixers and garnishes.

How I did it: I bought lots of nice juices, brought my car when I went out so I KNEW I couldn't even have one drink and I forewarned all my friends... who were actually quite happy to stick to soft drinks too! Read how I did it…
How I did it: My sister and I decided to do this as a New Year Resolution and a fundraiser for a local charity, so that gave us some incentive to get it organised straight away. Due to time/money constraints we chose to do it in 5 days over the May Public Holiday. May was a good time to do it because there aren't any midges and the weather is decent - for us, it was sunny with showers (some quite heavy) but ver… Read how I did it…
I really wish I could tick this goal off but its my bedroom that’s holding me back. The rest of the house is fairly tidy and I clean it regularly (though not as often as my mother would advise) but my bedroom seems to be a pit. I clamber over things on the floor to get to my bed each night and then have to shove things off that before I can creep in under the duvet. Once its clean and organised I can usually keep it up but then once in a while it slips back into the pit-like state and its ages before I get it back in good order. I’m a nightmare.. my own worst enemy. Today is Friday.. this weekend IT WILL BE DONE!
