Today I finally made it! The 100th loan was to a woman in Togo who sells charcoal. Her name is Amele and this is her first loan, she wants to expand her business. Togo is the 10th poorest country in world in 2012. Hopefully, this little bit helps.
My goal is complete, but I will continue to fund more Kiva loans. I’ve made loans to people all over the world – in 56 different countries. I learned a lot about them and the people, about their lives, their struggles, and their goals. I hope what I shared with them made a difference in their lives, to make it a little easier, a little better, and more filled with hope to realize their dreams.
This has been very worthwhile.

Spring into Action:
Well, spring hasn’t come here yet, so I made my own spring. I planted some tomato seeds, radishes, peppers, thyme, oregano, basil, zucchini, and forget-me-nots. Almost everything has sprouted, it’s so cool watching little seedings push their way out of the soil. Kind of a metaphor really, for this bootcamp. My radishes look really great. Watering them every day makes me aware that I need nurturing…and so,
Nurture:
I started another detox yesterday, and since April 1st have been eating at least five fruits and veggies every day. Although yesterday, I did also have apple pie (I get to count that as a fruit serving ;). Nurture for body health, nurture for emotional health. I’m also taking time to meditate, and remembering to breathe. I haven’t been doing very good at nurturing others so put a daily goal to give someone a compliment and to do something nice without the need for thanks.
Stronger:
I’ve been doing squats every day, at least 50 and somedays 200. I’m also doing Hundreds/Pilates and at least 10 pushups. Even when I don’t feel like it, or forget (like I did tonight), I get out of bed and do them. I only missed two days so far this month. In between, I’m running (although Not Enough!!).
Wiser:
I hope so.
Who I want to be:
Dunno yet…I keep expecting a sign…

I shut all my lights a few minutes before 8:30 then decided to go for a walk outside to see what other people were doing. Almost every house had their lights on, there were only a few that didn’t. I guess that’s what happens when you live in an “oil town” and there happens to be a hockey game on at the same time! At least our energy usage didn’t go up, like it did last year…
