It was just after getting married, visiting computer user groups along the way. About equal time biking and driving for 6 weeks. It’s a big country out there.

Paradoxically, you can build a more-intimate community faster if you embrace the system and give people the choice of privacy… i.e. adopt a cohousing model and get the banks to help you finance it with low downpayments and you’ll find people can be living there sooner and also build closer relationships because they can, not because they’re forced to.
