Month 1 12 months ago

I thought I would start this goal in the New Year, but with 2 good books in a month, I started a little early!

In November, I read an amazing book called the Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It’s a book about the 5 laws of stratospheric success. The parable made for an easy read in a couple of hours, and gave awesome tips on how to take action immediately. I absolutely recommend this book – it’s one of my favorites this year!

Then right before the month ended, I managed to finish the Ant and the Elephant by Vince Porcente. It’s another parable about a 5-step action plan to improve workplace performance. What I loved about this book is that I could apply it to all areas of my life, not just work. He put it in simple terms explaning our subconscious and conscious minds.

This month in December, I have started many books but haven’t finished any yet. I’m going to try to finish a book called Maybe Baby (the authors escape me right now) and another one called Attitude is Everything. I will report back next month!

Overcoming a Cold 12 months ago

I don’t get sick often, but when I do, I can be quite a baby. When I started feeling an on-coming cold with a tickling in my throat, I knew I had to take some action fast since I am on a no-drug kick for a whole year!

Immediately I crushed a clove of garlic, added a teaspoon of salt, and filled the glass up with 2 inches of warm water. Mixed it all up and I gargled it all up (not drinking it though). Did I stink? Of course! But it sure worked! The next day, I was feeling dramatically better. But then the runny nose started!

I doubled up on my Monavie every day, and the sinus cold only lasted 2 days. I am amazed! Normally my cold lasts for at least a week or two, this one lasted 4 days at most!

When you put your mind into something, it works. I encourage you to try out not taking over-the-counter or prescribed drugs for a year and see what a difference it can make in your life. It feels so good to have control over your own health, rather than being dependent on drugs all the time. I love it!

Say No to Drugs! 14 months ago

I haven’t had any drugs since at least September 1, 2008 (probably longer than that, but I’ll use that date as a starting point). The other day, I was hit with a headache, which started with an aura, and I was afraid it might progress into a migraine. I immediately started shiatsu and EFT (check out www.emofree.com). The headache was gone within an hour, and I was feeling so much better. No drugs needed.

I am going to use every form of alternative healing method possible before I even think about drugs. I can feel a cold coming, so today, I’ll be gargling in salt water to get rid of this sore throat. I’ll be doubling on my Monavie (www.the-team.biz/MV989481) dosage all week to boost up my immune system. Also, lots of EFT and maybe even Reiki. Wish me luck!
