Two days ago I went to the storage unit and took pictures of the piano that I want to sell. It is not in great shape, but someone could use it or repair it. My mom offered to put it up on eBay because she’s on it all the time and has a great feedback rating. However, she offered maybe 6 months ago so I’m not sure if the offer is still valid. I took the pictures though, because I’ll need them regardless. Then yesterday I put the pictures on her computer and started writing an auction listing. Things are moving in the right direction and that feels very very good.

I have two pianos currently sitting in a storage unit that my dad is paying for. I told them he could sell them, but he never got around to it while I’ve been in New Zealand. So now my goal is to move one into my apartment (when I get one) and to either sell or give away the other piano.
Then the rest of the stuff in the storage unit needs to be organized. I’m sure a lot of it can be thrown away or given away. Some of it is my dad’s, some of it’s mine, and some of it’s my sister’s. Either way it can be paired down to save money! This goal meshes very well with my minimize my material possessions goal. :)
The end of my study abroad year in New Zealand is rapidly coming to a close. School has ended (I’m done with my bachelors!!) and now I’m about to start traveling. The whole time I’ve been here I have been on the lookout for something that would make a good tattoo to remind me of the time I spent in New Zealand and all that I have learned here.
I finally designed something! I was inspired by something I found online and modified it a bit. It is a stylized outline of the map of New Zealand and I’m really happy with it. My appointment is at this great parlor in the town I fly out of two days before I leave. I’m really psyched! It’s finally going to happen!
