How I did it: I lost my fire virginity at a regional burn called Preheat and had some experienced friends watching me and being safety. I had a small crowd gather and they were so encouraging and supportive, it was amazing! Definitely worth all that practicing and hitting myself with the practice poi til I got better and better!!! How I did it: I found out I have been anemic/B12 deficient so I am taking supplements for that. Sleep is important and so is your mental state. I also found out I have heart palpitations and since being on a medication, I can comfortable work out regularly. This has vastly improved my mood and energy level. Read how I did it…

I fortunately had financial and emotional support from my parents no matter what I was going through and they helped me through some tough times. Ever since I first learned about Burning Man in December 2006 I have been DYING to go. I have resolved to go in 2009 and I WILL DO IT!!! I need travel companion[s] though, and I have been saving up so it will be feasible [hopefully].
Update 4-15-09
I have my Burning Man ticket and a ride, although I have to drive to Atlanta to get to the rideshare, it is with a cool group of folks and will undoubtedly be a life-changing experience. I hope to bring a few close friends next year.

Throughout middle/high school I taped Dark Shadows off of scifi channel every day and watched it after school was out. I believe it took me about two and a half years to see the entire series. I love Dark Shadows so for me, it was totally worth it.
