How I did it: I followed the Couch to 5k program, which I was pleased and amazed to discover took me from struggling to keep up a slow jog for 60 second increments to being able to jog a solid 45 minutes. Every week when the plan added time to the running, I worried that I wouldn't be able to do it, but I just tried my best. And each time I was astonished to find the I actually could do it.
