Okay, so it was $10.00 for a watercolor sketch pulled right out of my sketchbook, but it was a sale. :)

Okay, not baseball, but ballroom. East Coast Swing to be exact.
The basics are easy enough to pick up, but I chickened out on the first lesson night and left when they hit the hard stuff. I’ve been back five times so far and even stayed for the after lesson dance last time! Not having a partner to go with is definitely making it harder to learn as I don’t get to practice outside of the classes at all.
I actually started on this last fall, motivated by a friend’s daughter wanting to learn the flute. I agreed to try and teach her the basics only to find I’d forgotten alot of them. After on-again/off-again work, I’m back to about the level I was after my first two years of playing. Why, when I can easily afford them, do I feel such conflict and guilt over the idea of taking lessons to move forward?
