Dolly is my daughter’s dog and also BJ’s pup though she’s white. I might have to keep her when the kids go home. She’s mostly an outside dog there and with their nice new home and all my son-in-law is going to want her to stay out even more. She needs to be inside. To be fair my daughter has a nice little room inside for her dogs that they can go in and out at will. I’ll just miss her. They’re both at my feet now, asleep.

How I did it: I just went into work, rain or shine and did what was expected of me. The job didn't last and I can't say I'm all that sorry. My boss was incompetent and I never knew what I was supposed to do from one day to the next. I suspect politics was involved as it was a government job. I'm just glad I made some money and it's over now. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just became aware of my inner scatterbrain. I had to work with who I am, not against it. So I focused on those things that are truly important and just let the rest ride. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I did this as a gift for my daughters last Christmas after my mother died. I gathered all the recipes my mother had sent me over the years and rather than type them up I just photo-copied them. This preserved her recognizable hand and the little comments she would make on each one. I added the recipes I made regularly as my girls were growing up and put in a few new ones. I typed these up. I also added in a couple from my mother-in-la… Read how I did it…

And it’s beginning to show. My arms ache. My back hurts. My feet hurt. And my neck/shoulders are stiff and sore. I’m tired to the bone. And yes, I want a little cheese with my whine!
I had a nice lunch with my former boss. But my old job, any actual job, is not on the table. The university is part of the state system and due to the economy they won’t allow him to hire. What he could offer was contract work but he wanted me to do it as a part-tme job, actually going in a couple of days a week. I told him I just couldn’t do it. It’s not enough to replace what I have; I don’t want to give up my weekends (read:life)but we left it so that if he needs some freelance writing done I might do that. So, unsatisfying, but I guess I knew in my gut it would be like this. At least it wasn’t a hard decision. Still, it was good to see him and catch up.
