I'm doing 34 things
i’m on book 26 of my goal of 30! people at work have been really great giving me suggestions and some even giving me books to read. i found goodreads.com to be a good source of suggestions too, and an easy way for me to keep track of what i’ve read.
some of the books i read are chick lit, and i’m okay with that. also, when did chick lit become the literary scarlet letter, branding readers as less intelligent? sometimes i need an escape from my life and i’m proud to say i occasionally choose to escape through books that others may consider fluff.
the books i am reading might not be the most intellectually stimulating but at least i’m taking 30 books’ worth of time for myself, rather than spending that time at work, lethargic on the couch, or hectic life. so yay for reading.
