How I did it: I took a one-day class at a community college, and forced myself to volunteer for the exercises. I got great feedback and it made me want to do it again and again! Read how I did it…

1. I saw a couple for the first time today, and they came in with almost no hope for their marriage. At the end of the session, after a lot of hard work, she reached over and took his hand and their eyes filled with tears. I’m grateful to witness moments like this.
2. Subway sandwiches :)
3. The gym, as usual.
4. Coming up with a better plot idea and characters for my novel.
5. My friend-colleagues.
Not from Nano, but from my first draft. The whole thing was torturous to write, I hated my main character, the plot wasn’t going anywhere.
