How I did it: I made an appointment during my winter break from law school because I didn't want to deal with going to class all drugged up and in pain. The actual procedure only took 45 minutes and my surgeon had prescribed valium for me to take beforehand so absolutely nothing phased me. It has taken me about a year to do this but I feel fantastic and I have every intention to keep going until I reach my goal weight. You can do it if you try! There is no better feeling than feeling healthy :).
Few people know that I used to get panic attacks and hives due to anxiety quite frequently during my freshman year of college. Over the course of the past four years, I have been practicing meditative techniques to calm myself down, in conjunction with therapy (for a short while). It works!
