I came to the conclusion several months ago that soda is having a horrible impact on my health. The caffeine makes me panicky and anxious and it gives me heart palpitations. Not fun! So, I’ve been cutting down on how much I drink big time. Now, I just want to see if I can go a whole year without it. This is the only shot I am going to give this goal, and if I don’t go the whole year without it, it’s no biggie. :) I’ll just remove the goal and move on. But, I’m thinking I’m going to at least be somewhat successful.

How I did it: I started off by picking up all of my dirty laundry and putting it in the hamper, followed by putting away all of the clean clothes. I took everything on the floor that needed organized and put it in a box. Then I moved around some furniture so it took up less room, made my bed, and swept the floor. Everything isn't 100% organized, but it's organized enough to make me happy. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Giving up soda hasn't been the easiest of things. To do it, I started by just not getting any when we would go out to eat and then not buying it for home either. Then, I refused to drink it when at friend's or family's houses. I've been drinking lots of water, juice and caffeine free tea instead. Read how I did it…
How I did it: My husband and I saved and scrimped and saved some more for years, cutting back on our spending, learning to live on a lot less and keeping with a job that we both hated. After saving up enough, we got our U-Haul and a couple of friends and did it. Read how I did it…

Two days fast food free!!! It’s so cliche to start something like this on New Year’s Day, but hey, it works. I have no idea if I’ll be able to accomplish this for a whole year, and if I don’t do it this time, I am going to give up on the goal, no judgement towards myself. It might be a goal that is feasible for me, and then again, it might not. Guess we’ll see!
Over the years, he and I have just naturally stopped fighting as much, even though our life has gotten progressively harder and more stressful. He and I turn to each other more to help us deal with our stresses instead of taking them out on one another. Now, we do still argue once in a while, but it’s not even a fraction of what we used to and nowhere even close to the average couple. We’re so happy together and just don’t see the need to fight about things any more.
