I’ve started with Farsi recently, I’m finding it easier than I found Turkish, or maybe it just seems easier because I have some previous knowledge of middle eastern languages now. don’t let anyone tell you that Farsi is really hard because of the Arabic script … the script can be learned fluently within a few weeks and once you get past the writing it’s not any more difficult than any other language.

The first few days are the hardest. Then you have to avoid all people who smoke for a while so you’re not tempted … if your friends all smoke then I’ll bet this is a lot harder.
