I adopted a greyhound (whom I named Tobias) from the greyhound rescue, Fast Friends, in Hindsdale NH in mid-April. I adore him. We are a perfect match for each other. He’s very sweet and beautiful. His excitement to see me when I get home every evening is worth every second of effort I put into taking care of him. Plus, I’m happy that I could take him out of a life of kennels and pamper him!
Once I’m finished teaching, this will be a new hobby to pick up. Because I don’t have enough already.
I’m probably going to be adopting a greyhound from a rescue society within the next couple of months. I can’t wait!
It is my new goal to at least alert all the women I know of this product. The amount of waste generated by disposable feminine products boggles the mind. Why wouldn’t you stop using them if you could? Also, the joy of never having to remember to pack extra tampons…bliss. Ladies, seriously, give this a try.
After going on 7 grad school interviews, I think I’ve come out of my shell quite a bit, mostly because it was necessary. The next step is to be more outgoing in day-to-day life.
This isn’t really a goal one should write down, because one does not ever expect to acheive it! :-)
I got into a number of schools, but only last night accepted at Dartmouth’s MCB program. Exciting!

My technique is not speedy or entirely graceful, but I know the basics and can go from there onto bigger & better things! Hooray!
I read and finished Old Man and the Sea. I liked it. I’m very proud of myself. Hemingway, thou shalt thwart me no more!!
The first person I want to meet in heaven is Jane Austen. We will have tea & scones and discuss the extreme sexiness of Mr. Darcy.
Hemingway has thwarted me many a time. I began both The Sun Also Rises and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Couldn’t finish either. I don’t know why. I must conquer Hemingway!
I can’t say I was terribly disappointed with the death of Sirius Black, though I was surprised. It wasn’t such a bad thing, especially since there’s a sense of some sort of afterlife for him. I was kind of hoping Ron would have been the one killed off.
I’m signed up to take it in March. I’m taking a practice GRE next weekend. I’ve bought a study guide. Now all I need to do is prepare.
I took a yoga class last year, and it was great. I became more flexible and learned how to relax using breathing. While I’ve kind of abandoned it now, I think I’d like to go back to it someday.
