I did the module training and passed. It was amazing! However, I had a trip to Japan for 3-5 months planned for very shortly after my module training, so my team teaching and certification were put on hold.
Leaving Japan to go home to Australia in 2 weeks (at the end of August 2012), and have to find a gym/instructor to mentor with me and let me get some practise in!
A little nervous (to say the least), because there has been a big gap between doing my module and getting to this point, but I’m determined!
Using the extra time to brush up on technique, and improve my fitness!
Such a great journey so far!

How I did it: Convinced my housemate it would be fun, and dragged her to the arcade.Every time we went past, we'd go in and play a game!Eventually, I was playing harder levels, and when she moved cities, I kept going by myself! I ended up meeting a whole lot of new friends through it, and even improved my stamina!Playing with a second person is good (take turns to 'spot' each other - do a harder level while your friend plays the easier one he/she is g… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was searching online for jobs (on seek.com.au, but there'd be sites similar for non australians) and noticed a volunteer section.Decided to check it out as it's always been something I've wanted to do, but never got around to doing. There was a lot of things available, but I found this great company called 'Radio Lollipop', who are based in childrens hospitals. They run a kids radio station, and go through the wards doing arts and crafts… Read how I did it…
This is why I love browsing other peoples lists! I find so many awesome things to add to mine!
If anyone wants a postcard from Australia, please message me and I’ll send you one too!
Is there any rule or do’s and dont’s for this?
I’ve been trying to teach myself, but it’s always half-arsed attempts where I go through stages of laziness and forget everything I’ve (half)learned.
But today I’ve bought my books and in 6.5 days I start my very first Japanese class!
It’s been so hard to find one to do since I work shift work, but I managed to find one that was 1 evening a week, and so now I’m off!!!
YAY!
Can’t wait to call my friend in Japan and talk to him in Japanese!! XD
