It’s been forever since I checked in on 43 Things. I need to do so more often. It’s like checking in on what my goals really are, and visiting with old friends. Most days, I’m simply trying to check off minor items on a neverending To Do list. Hey, I’m about halfway to getting a Master’s Degree in early childhood education. Congratulations to me. I need to add goals about connecting with people. Mostly, I’m buried in work, and leave myself no time for fun.

I just completed an Issues in Early Childhood class, on-line, through NMSU (very good), and I finished one in the second summer term as well—the Bilingual Preschool Child.
So even though I didn’t get off to a quick start in the first Summer Term, I’m slowly making progress!
I guess I’ve been so busy at work (as a scholarship program director) and doing the courses’ homework I just haven’t been checking in with 43 Things! I’ll have to look in more often.
I love reading about science and history, and this book has lots of good stories involving both. It has made me think about what I do that contributes to global warming and the general deterioration of the Earth. Ultimately, the book is hopeful. Though many societies have collapsed in the past, we can learn from their mistakes!
