I was in Costa Rica this past summer studying spanish in San Jose. I miss it terribly. I loved my host family and traveling on the weekends. I met all kinds of cool people, will definitely go back when I finish graduate school.

How I did it: Indian Arm in Vancouver. Went up once before the full day trip. Took the kayak around for a couple of hours and got comfortable with it. I couldn't make the lesson so I looked everything up on the internet, not the safest. It worked but having actual experience is much better. Kayaked all the way up the arm and back in one day. Would love to do a longer trip in the future. Canada Rules! Read how I did it…
I’ve dabbled in Java and Python a little bit (meaning I can write “Hello World”, the easiest thing to possibly do). I would like to learn but I don’t know what I would do with it once I learned.
I think I’d like to make websites. Is that mostly in Java now? Or is it still pretty much rooted in HTML? Anyway, I think making a website(s) would be worthwhile.
