Alright, that’s it…
You know when you’re talking to your friends, and they’re all yammering about a few good books they’ve all read recently… and all you can do is smile and say “ya… ya.. sure… that was good”
Well I’m sick of it, I wanna join this annoying seudo-book club too. I gotta start reading more often. Books.
It doesn’t matter how much you read on the internet, it just doesn’t seem to count.
I’m starting with a book a friend lent to me 2 months ago, that I haven’t started yet not surprisingly – Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
I’m starting it tomorrow… An hour a day of reading it!
I can do this. Updates soon :)

Flossing really is the problem for me….
I do brush twice a day – admittedly not to well, but I’m working on it.
And sometimes I do get too lazy and let myself not floss at night before bed. I just don’t wanna waste the time, “I’m too tired” – I tell myself.
But in reality, you can do the following to get on the right path (to flossing, not rightousness – this is no religious site :) :
1. Place the floss next to where you keep your toothbrush.
So you see it immediately and don’t forget about it.
2. When you get up in the morning and you notice that you forgot to floss – do it right then and there. Don’t let yourself escape this chore or else you’ll get used to it.
3. Realize that flossing – done properly, shouldn’t take anymore than 3 minutes – the amount of time we should be brushing for, twice a day.
So our conclusion should be – 9 minutes a day and we’ll never see the dentist again until we’re 60.
Any dentist here beg to differ? :)

I’ve been biting the inside of my mouth and lips for about 5 years, if my memory doesn’t fool me (by the way, “improve my memory” is one of my other things on my list :)
I always hated it, and I was always worried what I look like infront of others when I do it. I’ve hated how it scarred my lips, as well I’ve always wondered what girls thought of my sometimes bruised lips – I imagine it did scare some of them.
I decided a week ago that I’m going to stop.
It’s been going well so far.
And this is how:
1. Be concious of it as much as possible. Catch yourself when you’re doing it and just say “NO!” to yourself. Stop and immediately get back to what you were doing before.
2. If you notice that you do it when you’re nervous, chew gum to keep your mouth occupied. Same goes for smokers :)
3. Atleast for me, it helps me to run my tongue over my lips and the inside of mouth – just to feel how smooth and healthy they are… It helps me to want to keep it that way.
Good luck. I still haven’t claimed victory on this one, but I will :)
