I installed GNUCash (like Quicken for Linux) and got it setup so I can manage my spending. I have a basket beside my desk where my wife and I are going to start putting all our reciepts. At the end of each day I record them in GNUCash and find out where we stand.
It’s a small step, but it has helped so far!

Having a new baby definitely helps me take more pictures. I want to have a beautiful record of her life as she grows so I can pass it on to her when she is old enough to appreciate it.
