How I did it: Loads of practice. I went through several instruments trying to find the perfect one. I started on viola in 3rd grade then switched to piano and when I was 11 I found the flute, which became my primary instrument. Now that I attend music school I wish I kept up with those other instruments. It's one of my goals to relearn them, plus pick up a few more. Read how I did it…

Get accepted into Berklee College of Music

Audition stuff 8 months ago

So… to anyone who wants to get into Berklee! I’m a berklee student myself and had to go through the rigorous audition process. The main thing you need to do is show them you are willing to learn anything. Know your prepared piece inside out. I was told by someone that they decide your skill level based on that and everything else is just bonus points they can add on. The ask you improve after you piece and then do a few eartraining exercises, maybe they’ll ask some scales. It’s actually a really laid-back audition, the faculty is really really nice about everything.

Just practice a lot and know why you want to go to berklee for the interview! Good Luck!

8. Learn to play violin, flute, piano, saxophone, guitar, lyre, bass, and ukulele

Just the beginning 8 months ago

So I already know how to play the flute, saxophone, simple piano, and guitar chords but I want to improve so my friend is teaching me piano and I may save up for a cheap violin. My roommate has a ukulele so maybe I can use that. the other ones I’m not sure about. I think lyres sound pretty though haha
