There is nothing more important to me than the value of trying your hardest and doing your best. If I can instill the value of hard work in my son, I will have done a good job as a parent. Too many kids don’t learn to work hard at what they do and are given too much these days. I want my son to learn that earning the things you have makes them more valuable. This is the hardest thing to do in today’s culture of excess!

It is always easy to knit for other people, but there is nothing like the feeling of wearing a sweater you made for yourself and getting a compliment on it. It makes your day!
