I bought a Nikon D50, and cannot say enough about how giddy it makes me. It’s really, really cool to have a real-er camera in my hands again, and to think about exposure, and lighting, etc.

If you have any appreciation for grand scale, for architecture, for the ghosts of the ancients, for art, for food, for (yes, I’m gonna say it) romance, for the water, for boats, for religion even – you must treat yourself to Paris.
I was there a week, and a week hasn’t passed that I haven’t thought about it, talked about it, or checked to see how much flights to CDG are.

And it was a really smart thing that I should have done years ago. I’ve been living with a bare boxspring and mattress since, well, college. Do it. It makes your room seem so much more finished.
