My sister-in-law is a dental hygienist and she shared with me the presence of something called “biofilm” that builds and lives between the teeth without flossing. The scare from the word alone was enough to scare me into doing something I should have been doing years ago. It’s been about 3 months of daily flossing.

I’ve abandoned all other methods and went with Plaxo (the address/birthday program). It’s something I already use and the birthday feature alerts me well before the birthdays so I can get out the cards, gift or phone call in enough time to not feel like a clod. If you don’t check your e-mail often though, this approach isn’t for you.

I think I’m just going to have to learn to keep my mouth shut more. If I talk less, maybe the filter in my brain will have an opportunity to shut down the complaining before it I say it out loud.
