I occasionally give myself spa days at home on the weekend, and it is so incredibly amazing!! Of course you can do it however you want but this it how i do it- Have a great smelling lotion (I love St. Ives Oatmeal Lotion of Victoria’s Secret Love Potion), a mask (you can buy them at walgreens in tubes or single packages, whatever you prefer), nail polish, and candles. Put on soft music and light candles around a warm bath. Do everything you normally do in the shower, but relaxed, this is your day and you have nowhere to go and nothing else you need to do. I usually do a deep conditioning hair mask in the bath and a mask, which you leave on for usually about 5-10 minutes. After your bath put lotion on your legs and face, tweeze your eyebrows and use an anti-puff eye roller (i use garnier fructis’s one). This will make your eyes look naturally cleaner and more awake, overall giving you a dewy fresh complexion. Next, do your hair like you’re going somewhere important, even if you aren’t. Blow out your hair and put a smoothing serum in it. After putting on some minimal makeup if you want to (powder, mascara, and chapstick), give yourself a manicure and pedicure. Massage your nailbeds with a thick lotion and push back your cuticles (never cut them, this blocks your nails natural barrier to bacteria), and paint them your favorite color. Have fun and relax! :)

I had acne since fourth grade, and by the time i hit late middle school it got really severe. I had tried everything from topical meds to oral ones, and NOTHING worked. i started accutane after my brother used it for only 3 or 4 months and got rid of most of his acne.I was on accutane for 8 months and before i had reallyy bad face and body acne. after about 2 months of being on it my body acne has completely cleared, but (this is to anyone thinking of starting it) when you first start your acne actually gets worse for about month. my doctor explained it as as the bad oils coming to the surface of your skin as they’re being removed. the only bad side affects i had reallyyy dry lips (i had like 5 things of chapstick on my at all times), dry arms (body lotion becomes your best friend), and some mild depression symptoms. my face also got much more red while i was on it (i have pretty pale skin) and when my brother was on it his redness was horrible. so if you have darker or more olive toned skin you probably won’t get any redness, but nonetheless when i stopped it all went away. now (about 4 months later) i get one or two occasional pimples, but always small ones that clear up fast. because i had acne for so, so many years i have some leftover scars of my face that i use makeup on. but the one thing i said when i started accutane was that i wanted to be able to go outside with no makeup on and feel 100% comfortable around other people. and now i do that, i like wearing makeup because it’s fun and enhances your features, but i really don’t have to if i don’t want to, which has made a world of a difference : ) now i use clindamycin gel once a day after i wash my face, it’s very gentle and i get almost no pimples now, which is suchh an incredible thing for me. good luck guys!
