do a photography project
Guts and Glamour 10 months ago

I have an idea for an art project which stems from a desire to build my book (from zero) by taking the kind of photos I want to take, compiling them into a photo slide-show set to some kick-ass music and presenting it somewhere – probably the local camera club – and just blow people away.

I’ve discovered that I love take photos of action (snowboarding, skateboarding, motocross, ...) and would like to do more glamor work, like fashion, night life and advertising type photography.

I see the images in my mind. I want each image to be bold and dramatic. I want to make the images in my head come to life. I want to feel my passion in an image and share it.

This is my dream.

Took some private lessons at Cranmore 10 months ago

My wife and I took a 2 hour private lesson at Cranmore in NH, and my 6 yo son took a 1 1/2 hour lesson at the same time.

The instructors were great and we all had a blast. I think a little more practice is in order but we are on our way.

Take a winter skills course
I want to take an AMC Winter skills course 11 months ago

I think a Winter skills course with my wife would be a lot of fun. She and I like to hike and enjoy snowshoeing. I’ve gone to Crawford Notch in New Hampshire to photograph ice climbers and people taking mountaineering courses. I think it’s time that we do something like that ourselves. It’s a bit pricey (could be $300-$400+ per person) but I suppose it’s cheaper and more adventurous than most hotel stays.
