Week 2

Boy, this week is touch. I’m trying to see what part of my body needs help – the lungs or the legs. This morning I ha my answer – definitely my legs. I quit smoking on Jan 1st and I was rather surprised that my lungs held up pretty well.

So I’m starting a strength training program this week focusing on the leg muscles and the core.

Starting tomorrow

I’ve tried so many times to get through this program. Hopefully this latest attempt will be the one.

Quit Smoking
Purely mental - But tough

I’ve been trying to quit for over 3 years and could never go past 9 days. Then at the beginning of this year, I set Jan 3rd as the quit date and was finally able to break the habit.

I used nicotine patches for about a month and then realized that I didn’t really need them. But I ALWAYS had Nicorette gum handy in all places (just in case I found myself slipping). And boy, was that a good move.

Its August now and the habit is gone. FINALLY !!!
