This is what she looks like now. For some weeks, she’s been suffering from eczema, so bad that her mother eventually out of desperation bought an oxygen machine after nothing else seemed to help. These treatments have almost completely cured her. I feel an immense sorrow for children who suffer from this terrible disease after experiencing so close the symptoms in a baby so close to my heart. She wailed nights through; itching, scratching herself until it bled, appetite gone; she became terribly thin and ill. I cannot describe the utter helplessness one feels. When all you can do is cry yourself….I believe prayers from friends all over the world hastened her healing. Thank you, Lord.

I’ve recently joined VirginActive in our city, and taken up swimming. I get up at five, go swim for half an hour, sauna for 10 minutes, shower and off to start the day. Unbelievably energising! I’m also meeting new people and use the opportunity to do a bit of marketing for my shop. A definite do-do for anyone with depression or loneliness.
Jacqi’s and my shop, Flower Fair, opened its door for business on Tuesday, September 4th. It will take a while before we get to be a force to be reckoned with, but we’ve budgeted for that. We’ve appointed two lovely younger ladies, Veronica (general assistant) and Andronica (florist.) (Yes, we do confuse their names!) We believe we have the makings of an awesome team. Here’s a picture of some arrangements I made. Will post pics of shop later.
