How I did it: I went to the bank. Told them I wanted to pay back the loan early. They calculated the amount due. I signed and that was it. How I did it: I used iPhoto on my iMac. I had plenty of good photos from 2 holidays in the mountains, taken by myself and my friend Kurt. The site is running fine, but I realize that in order to bring up to a higher level, I need to take a few more learning curves. so I am studying Drupal, in an attempt to port http://slimmerkoken.be to Drupal.
The biggest problem is that there is no good recipe module available for Drupal, which has the features that slimmerkoken has… so I’ll have to write that myself.
Went to another doctor this morning (Prof. Dr. Martens). After examination, it seems that the cause of pain in my left foot is a so-called Morton-Neurom, NOT a Fasciitis Plantaris…
Bad news is that it doesn’t heal with rest or special exercises, as it is a mechanical problem. Good news is that a specialist will make a sole for my running shoes which should resolve the problem.
I will get it next week, and thn I will be up and running !
I will pay back my loan early.
Even if it is bad in terms of taxes, I hate to see those letters from the bank every year, telling me that I still need to pay until 2024… What a long time, it makes me feel like a steel ball chained to my ankle. Over the past years interest rates have gone up, and the fiscal benefits have shrunk to something very small. I think only the banks are getting better from this deal. In the mean time I have saved enough money to just pay it back, so first banking day in januari, I will pay them a visit… and draw a line under this thing.
