It was not easy getting another dog. Our old dog did not take well to the new family member. During the first two weeks she attacked mini several times, stole her food, prevented her from playing with any of the toys, took ownership of the whole house and was generally a total bitch to her. It was a very difficult two weeks, and during that time I was convinced we’d made a mistake more than once.
However, after about two weeks, the old dog just got used to the new one. Now they are inseperable. They playfight all day long, lick each others wounds, sleep in the same bed at night. They couldn’t be closer. They still eat separately and will steal each others treats if they get a chance, but thats just the way dogs are!
