How I did it: It took us four weeks from start to finish. Make sure you are willing to have your living room rendered useless for a few days. A WHIP stands for the five pillars of self-discipline:

After a year, it gets really easy and I can just auto-pilot my way through a shift. I work as a server at a by-the-beach restaurant so the customers are typically happy to be there.
I need to overcome one road block after a year of working there. That is the cynicism that eventually comes from serving rude folks. That has now become one of my new goals.
