Alrighty then, well I suppose this whole weightloss thing started all when I was in sixth or fifth grade. I was a very chubby little kiddo who liked video games and Dr. Pepper with my Oreos. I wasn’t very social at all, and I mostly just read and as previously stated: played video games. (Three cheers for the Final Fantasy series)
However, when puberty hit I guess I started to realize that I was a chubby kiddo who only played video games and consumed a whole lot of sugar. At my heaviest (end of fifth grade) I was about 190 lbs.
In fifth grade I also met my instant best friend, Devy. Being my first friend that was actually a girl, I learned an awful lot about being girly from her. She was little and pretty. (she’s gained some weight since then, but she’s still one of the most beautiful people I know) She really pushed me when it came to loosing weight, being healthy, and being pretty. That and the constant reminders from other family members about my weight really triggered the start of my loosing weight.
I stopped drinking soda. I cranked up the music in my room and danced to it for about an hour a day instead of melting my brain in front of the TV. I stopped getting two meals worth of food at lunch and only ate one plate of dinner. (Unless of course, Mom made something really good.)
At the end of my sixth grade year I weighed around 170 lbs. At the end of seventh grade I weighed 160 lbs.
In eighth grade, this last year, I’ve researched more about weight loss and started working out more. I currently weight 145 lbs.
So as you can see, I’ve come a long way from we’re I’ve been. I love being outdoors, riding my bike, and soft drinks taste nasty to me. I’m at a normal weight range, and I feel great. However, I still want to loose twenty more pounds and get down to 125, my goal weight. From there, who knows? Maybe I’ll wear a bikini and have a big party for Devy and the rest of my ever growing list of friends. Or maybe I’ll go on a big shopping spree and try to fit into little bitty pants. Until then, I’m going to be working hard. ;)
