I bought my Garmin just last night, it doesn’t have heart rate on it but it does have a number of great features. Tonight’s run was my first with it and I know that I went precisely 6.30km.
I bought it from The Running Room where it was on sale for 79.99 CAN. It has a virtual running partner, interval training and gps point tracking. It seems to be very easy to use and I am looking forward to my next run with it.
There are higher-end forerunners; one of the big differences with the 101 is you cannot connect it to your computer for uploading workouts. I think I won’t really miss that feature, even as mild computer geek with a small gadget issue. The 101 holds two years worth of records on board and I do use the Running Room training log which is a free service on their website.

This is where you can find an acurate explanation if you are interested. IAU is the body responsible for Policies for astronomy.
Now if anyone knows, point me to the body that makes policies regarding Islands versus Continents.
When we closed the deal on our new home on 4.5 acres I bought a little oak tree in coffee can, now it is about 6.5 feet high. Trees are recording the story of my life on the planet and some day these same trees will record the life of someone else.
I have a spruce tree that started out life blocked up tight by a half rotten wood box. We worked at encouraging the little spruce only to have the top loped off by a neighbour poplar tree that fell. It still hangs in there, not exactly normal looking but extra beautiful.
After my cousins wedding I planted chestnuts in the ground and was rewarded with five new beauties.
I planted 15 oak trees on beautiful spring day with my father in law.
I brought trees home with me from people I love.
I look around at the beauty and know my life is wrapped up in it all.
I Love Em All
