I had my hair cut into a bob in September after a few years of having long hair. I now want to grow it long enough for me to have a decent layered haircut for the summer… so really this is a ‘grow my hair out, then have it cut’, Thing.

How I did it: I have gained a progression scholarship that will stretch over 2 years (worth £6000 - which covers my tuition fees) provided I maintain high grades.Firstly I kept quiet about this goal. The only people who knew about it were people very close to me (and you wonderful 43things strangers!) and not on my course. I didn't want to carry the public persona of someone working towards a scholarship because I felt it would invoke jealousy and… Read how I did it…
In 2002 I started an undergraduate degree in economics. For personal and “Arrgh” reasons, I failed to finish my course.. despite spending 4 years going around in circles hoping to finish the damn thing.
In 2007 I started a Psychology with Neuroscience degree. I am currently receiving funding from my local council in the form of a maintenance grant and a student loan. Next year I may not qualify for either of these and it would be a weight off my mind to gain a scholarship that will pay for my tuition fees. In order for this to happen I need to achieve a 2:1 in all my modules (over 60%)... I’m going to have to think up a few plans for me to move in this direction. I made a good start in semester one, I’m hoping I can continue this.
Suck.
This goes hand in hand with my desire to become a tidier, more organized person. I think it’s a small task that can be completed, but the sense of dread that arises when I have to work through swathes of notes that I haven’t placed in order is awful. It’s mind numbing and impacts on my future – I mean I actually want to get good grades (see why I want a scholarship).
