I am tired of the word. bbllaaahhhh!
I like health food. I like eating in moderation. I like feeling a little hungry before each meal.
But if I put myself on a diet, I totally rebel. I don’t even like chocolate that much. But tell me I can’t eat it? I will eat it every day, every chance I get!
Just a sick part of me, I guess.

How I did it: I did this by packing up all of my diet books. I stopped looking at dieting websites and blogs. I started trusting my own intuition about what I needed and when. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got the lawn mower out, pushed the starter button about 10 times, gave it a couple of pulls, and mowed the front yard. Tomorrow I plan to tackle the back yard. It was fun. The only bad thing that happened was my 2 yr. old touched the engine with 1 finger for 1 second when I was done and now she is sitting in my lap 10 minutes later still crying, with her finger in a bag of ice. There are no marks on her finger. I think she may be over r… Read how I did it…
Yes I can. I can give up sugar. I did it for 2 years. I had sugar free stuff and whole wheat stuff- but didn’t overdo it like I do with sugar. The hard thing is, I was single when I did it, and now I am married with little kids, and it’s so hard to have desserts and snacks at home for my hubbie and kids and not eat it myself. My husband tells me I can get rid of it all whenever I want, so maybe I will. Or at least not buy it anymore, and let the stuff in the house dwindle down till we don’t have any sugary stuff anymore, and then we can just have dessert type stuff when we go out. I don’t want my kids to inherit my overeating sugar habits though, and if I deny them too much…on the other hand, we get so much sugar everywhere. They get stuff at school and church and birthday parties and all that. Also, I think if I’ve given it up for awhile and my cravings go away and I have the habit, I can have sugar around the house again without giving in to it. So, starting tomorrow, no direct sugar…..if there’s small amounts in salad dressing and stuff like that I am not going to worry about it, but all cookies, desserts, candy, sweet breads, etc. I am giving up! My first goal is to do this for 1 week. I will take it day by day. At the end of 1 week I will celebrate by buying myself a pair of earrings!
