I also couch-surfed in Europe (Austria) and would love to return the favor and show others how Americans REALLY are :) unfortunately there’s not so much draw to where I live right now, so it might be some time before I get to do this.

How I did it: I was in Australia and decided that if I didn't go then, it probably wouldn't happen. I went up with a friend and we both jumped tandem style. We chose the company and our hostel scheduled our jump over the phone. We probably spent an hour filling out paperwork and doing a bit of training before heading out to the airport. We went with a company in Cairns which I would highly recommend to anyone. The views were so beautiful! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Tons of planning!! Online mostly, but new travel books can be helpful too. We saved up and quit our jobs and had family willing to take us back in when we got home :Dwww.4travellinggirls.blogspot.com Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was shown how by an Egyptian and kept doodling all our names throughout the trip to remember them. I also learned how to write the numbers and could recognize them on our passport stamp/ train seats/ tickets etc... Read how I did it…

My entire family cooks really well (so I just stay out of the kitchen :D) and half the time growing up we ate a vegetarian diet… so I haven’t the slightest idea how to cook meat properly!
I’ve been to almost all the western states and would like to see more of New England. I’d love to see them all before I’m 50!
