I never got past the fourth week level, and lost interest. I’m impressed with getting that far, and I’m sorry I’m not keeping it up, but going for the full hundred seemed difficult and just not worth the effort.

It’s been slow going for the last several months, but a few more towns have gotten scenicked, I’ve had the layout on tours twice, and I’ve been doing a good job at keeping a running blog of progress.
The big lessons I’ve learned?
- Grab little projects whenever I’m in the mood for it.
- Make sure I’ve got the tols and supplies to do little projects when I’m in a working mood.
- Showing progress to others keeps me fired up.
Finally made it through the probationary time, taking a bit longer than I would have, but not too much longer than what others have experienced. The current employer is still an intimidating place because of the sheer number of smart people around, but I’m at least feeling like I don’t need to start looking for another place to land right now.
Only problem: my manager suggested I might do a good job in management, so I’m slowly trying out the manager ladder. That means more uncertainty as I try out a new job I’ve never done before, while trying to keep accomplishing the old day job.
Fingers crossed.
