I like the second generation RX-7 a lot better, but owning an 8 is part of my goal to own at least one of every mazda rotary. The 13B-Renesis is amazing, there’s only a slight decrease in power from the third generation RX-7, which was twin turbo. The RX-8 is naturally aspirated. Put a turbo or super charger on a Renesis and you’re looking at some serious power. You could always just get a 20B with a nice turbo and all the upgrades for 500 HP. I wouldn’t recommend spirited driving in a stock 8 with 3 passengers though, that extra 500+ pounds will really make a difference.

I’ve got a specific car in mind, hopefully I can get my hands on one some time, a JDM 2002 Mazda RX-7
Learned the basics (with e-brake) in a Pontiac Sunfire (FF). Got an RX-7 (FR), Which is a lot different, and more driftable. My favorite technique is the clutch kick.
