make wine
Kinda made wine...

If you consider picking the kit and then coming back to bottle the wine “making wine”, then this goal s done. :D We select the kit and then the U-Brew spot makes & monitors the wine. We then come back after a few months and bottle the wine.

My wife and I have “made” 2 kits so far – Coconut Frascati and Milk Chocolate Strawberry Port.

Recent lifestyle changes on my part has cut my wine consumption, but I hope to be able to have the occasional glass once I hit my goal weight.

start meaningful holiday traditions
Christmas Traditions

By no means a unique tradition, but I’m trying to bring more meaning back into my Christmas by reducing the commercialism that we are bombarded with here in Canada (maybe even North America). To accomplish this, my wife and I will no longer be buying more than one or two presents at Christmas for people at Christmas, but will be donating what we would have spent to a charitable organization. We will vary where we are doing the donation based on something eventful that happens to our family or in the world.

This year, we made a significant donation to UNICEF to celebrate the birth of our nephew earlier this month.

Based on the positive response from those involved, I think we will be continuing this. Have to call this a success. :)

get contacts (read all 2 entries…)
Day 2 and it's only getting better....

So, I’m on my second full day of wearing them and the longer I have them the more I like them and the more I’m getting accustomed to them.

Taking them out, putting them in are SUCH a pain in the bum….I’m a blinker and have deep set eyes. However, I’m already getting better and better at it….

So, I don’t think I’m going back. :)
