My brother was late for his work the other day when I read his roster wrong and didn’t wake him up in time for work. He was so pissed off and made me feel horrible and my girlfriend was there and she was like ‘he knows how to set an alarm…’ and it was like a light switching on in my head. She’s right, it’s not my fucking problem. I take responsibility for everyone else without sticking up for myself.

How I did it: I wanted to stop about a week ago and it was as easy as not lighting up, but the feeling of wanting one would not go away and like Allan Carr would say, I doubted my decision. I kept dicking around and coming back to have one more. In the last week I've spent about $40 for a few cigarettes because I keep giving in, then throwing the packet away.Things that were important to me about smoking. The social aspect, the need … Read how I did it…
How I did it: Following advice from another person here, I borrowed all the gear first and went to a camping ground with facilities available (toilets, stoves, showers etc.) luckily, as most of the equipment went arse-up. Have to say, It was so much fun just hanging out and chatting. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I always find new songs to feed my mood, emotions and thinking at the present time. Looking back in time, some of the songs were almost laughable but they rekindled old feelings in me which, for some reason, I tried to experience again through the music and that probably wasn't the best thing for me to do - kind of like taking a backward step if you ask me. Overall I didn't get much out of this goal besides the memories. Read how I did it…

I spent my afternoons tearing my hair out every time a new credit card related letter appeared in the mail from Heritage Banking Society saying I was being charged another $20 for being over the max limit (how does this help?) Then I get a statement of everything I’ve spent in the last month and right underneath it has in big bold writing their popular tagline “People first…We hate fees and charges too.”
I feel patient within myself now but maybe that’s because I haven’t pushed any serious boundaries or REALLY challenged myself to present an opportunity to be totally frustrated.
Either way, I wouldn’t feel comfortable ticking this goal off yet.
