It’s been a while since I logged into this, and since that time, I was able to write a few short stories. Probably they’re best defined as vignettes, but still, a story is still a story. I’m proud that I was able to muster up the effort and weave together words.

I don’t think once is enough. I’ll go and write something more. :)

I finally got a digital point and shoot camera. I know that doesn’t seem like much for many people, but it actually has helped me start trying to take better pictures. I like trying to make ordinary day pictures a bit more special. I’m glad too that I’m now able to document events and family gatherings.

Right now, my photography is for my personal enjoyment, which how it should be right? I don’t think I’ll be going pro in this field, but being able to do it is something great in itself.

I realize that this goal is will be something that won’t be truly completed, as every time I learn something, I’ll be finding out that I need to learn something else. But it’s not a tedious learning process. In fact, it’s one that I would love to always be doing.

Living in the same place for years sometimes becomes stiffling. I want to get away from everything familiar, where what I know is just within reach. I want to get away from the responsibilities that I have as the eldest child. I want to be able to do what I want for me and not because I want to earn money.
