I had a gorgeous Himalayan named Charlie a few years ago. My mom’s stupid boyfriend (now husband) left the front door open and Charlie got out. We didn’t know til morning when my mom found him in the yard. He was alive, and went to the hospital, but didn’t make it.
He was a wonderful cat.

Last summer I attended a leadership institute where I watched “Invisible Children”, a documentary more or less made accidentally by a few 20-something males who went to africa “looking for a story.” They found the phenomenon of thousands of children walking to sleep in the streets of cities night after night. They do this so they don’t get abducted by the military groups that turn the youngest and most innocent of children into heartless, brutal killers.

I hate my place right now. I just moved a couple of months ago, and haven’t taken the time to make it home. I have all kinds of fun ideas in my head. I just need to spend a weekend and do it. Why is that so hard?
