it’s a funny story, actually. dale forbade me from knowing her last name, but that didn’t stop the mere fate of it happening. i needed to email my choir director and his email wasn’t listed on the EAC site since he wasn’t full-time there. i knew, though, that he taught at pima schools. so i ran a google search for his name on the pima web site. one of the results was a newsletter he wrote, so i went there to see what it was. there was a list of students who made show choir that year, including janelle reidhead. if dale had not told me that she was from pima, it wouldn’t have phased me, but since pima is such a small town and janelle isn’t the most common of all names, i began to wonder. dale pretended not to know what i was talking about when i asked him about it, but when i asked felonia, she confirmed that janelle’s last name was in fact reidhead. me 1, everyone else negative a million finity.

for 15 months, i awaited the divorce of dale and felonia, knowing all along that it would happen. i expected dale to be the one to file, but in a shocking twist of non-shocking events, felonia did. all that shit i talked really paid off. my work is done and it has been a pleasure.

that was the only year that i actually gave a fuck about regional/all-state choir (i was required to audition every year) and that cockbag ruined my chances by switching pages 2 and 3 of the block and contrapuntal exercise just before i went in.
