How I did it: I just was very committed, even when I didn't have a washer and/or a drier. One of my children only had one plastic diaper on his whole childhood- when we left him with a friend on the way to the ER with another family member. I was just very determined to buy as few disposable diaper as possible. How I did it: I always knew that I wanted to, and I didn't listen to the people who thought I was crazy. I started homeschooling in the early 90's when it wasn't so well known as now. My oldest just got her associate degree at 19. My kids are articulate and well-rounded and can talk with anyone. I taught them to read, made them do Saxon math, and unschooled for the rest. Now I am using Rosetta Stone to teach my 12 yr. old French, and he gets piano lessons. Read how I did it…
How I did it: First, I had a couple of homebirths myself. The babies slow your career path down some, but it's alot easier to empathize with the mothers you serve when you've had a baby yourself.
