How I did it: We crossed the arctic circle above Iceland, it was for a Nato Exercise and was with 3-4 other Navy vessels. We were on a 6 month exercise and were tracking some russian subs up past Norway. When we crossed we did a formal hazing for all the first timers. We ate some rude things and took a dip in some very icey water. Then watched as others did the same thing. Read how I did it…

How I did it: Posted to CFS Alert with the Canadian Military, 6 months at a radar station. I was automatically posted there as a soldier. We had duties to perform while we were there. It wasn't for fun. It took about 3 months of paperwork and checking out of the current base I was at in order to get cleared to go to the base. Security clearance was the toughest thing to pass. I want to visit Copenhagen again but this time with my wife. Hamlets castle, Helsingor, the harbour and take the hydrofoil to Sweeden.
